Manic Monday--How Can You Have Your Pudding If You Won't Eat Your Meat??

It's a pretty simple principle, DC, that even 5 year-olds are able to master: if you don't eat your vegetables, you don't get any dessert.

So, in other words--if you're not willing to do the work of restoring the Marvel Family...

...you don't get to use their villains for someone else's storyline.

If you want to use Mr. Mind, DC, you've got to resolve Billy and Mary's banishment by the Wizard, and Freddy's situation, etc. It can't be that hard, can it?

But until you do that, you really don't get to enjoy the fruits of their villains and supporting casts.

So get on it, DC, or it's off to bed with no dessert for you!

Quite a surprising reveal, especially in light of Didio repeated comments that the Marvels are officially "off the table"...making the appearance of Mr. Mind (who was always kept at arm's length in the modern era) all the more strange in this kick-off to Luthor's Evil-Quest (or whatever they're calling it). With no context as to who the character is...or no context able to be provided during the Marvel Embargo, I'm puzzled as to what Cornell is going to be able to say about him that would hook readers unfamiliar with an evil-genius worm. You'd think there were other DCU masterminds they could have started out with, rather than something with such comical/campy roots.

A very wise idea. Especially, since I thought that Ted Kord squished Mr. Mind with his heroic foot.

I'm not sure how "off the table" all aspects of the Marvels really are--after all, you've got Osiris and "the Search for Black Adam" running in The Titans currently.

The best solution to the Marvels "problem," of course, is to a) realize that it's not a problem, b) give Jerry Ordway carte blanche to do with the whatever he wants with the characters, and c) stay the frak out of his way. Seriously, could an Ordway-run marvels series sell any worse than that "Trials of Shazam" crap they ran?

You mean we can't have Dr. Sivana mess up the DNA of another one of Green Arrow's sidekicks?

That's TOO MUCH, Snell!

TOO MUCH!!!!
